October 31, 1938 — March 31, 2017

Richard "Dick" K. Haack, 78, of Fort Dodge passed away Friday, March 31, 2017 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and then 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with a K of C Rosary at 6:30 p.m. and a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. Richard is survived by his children, Richard "Kevin" Haack; Curtis (Yvonne) Haack both of Fort Dodge; Mark (Tammy) Haack of Badger; Pamela Haack; Mary Glass (Chad Goddard) both of Fort Dodge; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, David (Grace) of Wappinger Falls, NY; Donald (Brenda) Haack of Sutherland, IA; sister-in-law, Helon Haack of Montgomery, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Margaret (Burns) Haack; wife, Carol Haack in 2012; and brother, Robert. Richard Karl Haack was born October 31, 1938 in Fort Dodge. He was raised and educated in Fort Dodge and graduated from Senior High in 1957. Richard was united in marriage to Carol Beyer in 1960 at Corpus Christi Church. The couple established their home in Fort Dodge. Dick worked for Beisser Lumber for 47 years. Richard loved spending time with his family, especially being a father. As a faithful man, he was a member of Holy Trinity Parish and the Knights of Columbus. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
