Nancy Laughlin

Norwalk Nancy C. Laughlin 77, passed away Friday, April 22, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family in Norwalk following a lengthy illness. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at St. Pauls Lutheran & Presbyterian Church, Rockwell City, with Pastor Denise Berns officiating. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery, Rockwell City. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Church until service time. The Service will be live streamed on the Palmer & Swank Funeral Home Facebook Page. Memorials may be left to ALS or to the discretion of the family. Nancy Carol Sexton was born November 6, 1944 in Traverse City, Michigan to Robert Sexton and Viola Walker. She graduated from Rockwell City High School with the Class of 1963. She furthered her education by attending American School of Beauty in Des Moines. On October 25, 1964, she was united in marriage to Gilbert Dean Lange at the First United Presbyterian Church in Rockwell City and three girls were born to this union. Nancy owned and operated Laughlin Tire in Webster City for many years. In 2001, she moved to the Des Moines area where she worked at Clear Water Pools until her retirement. Nancy was a Rainbow Leader and 4H Leader. She will be known for her beautiful smile, kind heart, and her contagious laughter. Her daughters and grandchildren were her life and she cherished her family immensely. Nancy is survived by her daughters, Dynette (Shel) Jones of Kiefer, OK, Dawn (Rodney Lehman) Sherman of Ankeny, and Deanna (Trevor) Gingrich of Norwalk; six grandchildren, Colton Jones, Conner Jones, Keely (Graham) Sandquist, Annika Schulz, Sydney Schulz, and Riley Gingrich; two great-grandchildren, Rowan Sandquist and Ava Roberts; her father Robert (Teresa) Sexton of Manson; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Viola (Petticord) Walker; and sisters, Karen Kleemeier and Mary Kathryn Hawkins.
