Mildred E. Mcalister

Mildred E. McAlister, 95, of Fort Dodge passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Shady Oaks Care Center in Lake City. No services are planned at this time. Laufersweiler-Sievers is serving the family. She is survived by her son, Robert (LuAnn) McAlister of Harcourt; daughter, Darlene Miller of Florida; and grandchildren, Sabrina O'Bryan and Jennifer Torres. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andre and Alice (Smith) Baumann; son, Jake McAlister and sister, Grace Baumann. Mildred Evelyn Baumann was born June 20, 1921 in Plainville, NJ. She was raised and educated in Taft, Florida and graduated from Pine Castle High School in Florida. Besides being a homemaker Millie worked for K-Mart in sales for many years. In July 2012, Millie moved to Harcourt to stay with Bob and LuAnn before moving to the care center. Millie enjoyed sewing and gardening, especially tomatoes.
