Linda Anderson

Linda S. Anderson, 57, passed away Monday, December 5, 2016 at Pomeroy Care Center. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016 at First Covenant Church, 201 Avenue H, with Pastor Allan Redenius officiating. Burial will be at Lost Grove Township Cemetery, Harcourt. Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the church. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Linda is survived by her children, Timothy Mernka and wife Allison of Rockwell City; Zacary Mernka of Fort Riley Camp, KS; grandchildren, Joshua Knapp; Julian Mernka; Callie Mernka; parents, Wilmer "Gene" and Lois (Sandberg) Anderson; brothers, Kenneth (Dennis) Anderson; Keith Anderson both of Fort Dodge; Loren Anderson of Webster City; nieces, Katelyn (Bobby) Benkelman; Jennifer (Paul) Gardner and Gracie Anderson. Linda Anderson was born January 20, 1959 in Fort Dodge. She was raised and educated in Fort Dodge, graduating from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1977. Linda was united in marriage to Tim Mernka and the couple later divorced. Linda was employed with Friendship Haven for over 25 years. She was a member of First Covenant Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be left to the family's discretion.
