Evelyn Millea

January 21, 1934 — November 13, 2020

Evelyn M. Millea, 86, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Friendship Haven surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 18th at Holy Trinity Church. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until the time of services at the church. Masks are required and we ask everyone to please social distance. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. She is survived by her sons Mike (Carolyn) of Fort Dodge, Steve (Ivonne) of St. George, UT, daughter Julie (Doug) Spillman of Fort Dodge, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, sister Patty (Dan) Condon of DeWitt. She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel Wesley and Cecelia (McCarville) Waggoner, husband Thomas Millea in 2011, daughter Beth Ann, granddaughter Carrie Bishop, sister Dolores Jergensen and brother Harold Waggoner. Evelyn Marie Waggoner was born on January 21, 1934 in Clare. She attended schools in Fort Dodge and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1952. On May 16, 1953 she was united in marriage to Thomas W. Millea at Sacred Heart Church and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. Once the children were a little older Evelyn enrolled at Iowa Central Community College and graduated from the Nursing Program with her L.P.N. in 1973. She worked at Mercy Hospital and then Trinity Regional Medical Center. Evelyn later worked in Home Health Care and worked there until her retirement. She enjoyed volunteering at the Marian Home and truly loved every moment spent with her family. Evelyn will be missed by all who knew her. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
