Ellen Jane Moss

Ellen J. Moss, 72, of Fort Dodge, passed away, Thursday July 11, 2024, at Trinity Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday July 17, 2024, at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Ellen Jane Moss was born on May 14, 1952, in Plattellive, WI. She was raised and educated in Webster City, graduating from Webster City High School. In 1973, Ellen married Lyle Moss, the couple later divorced. In the Mid 80's, she met Theodore Grim and they spent 35 years together before he passed away in 2018. Ellen worked for Electrolux for 37 years until retiring in 2011. She enjoyed camping and riding on her husbands Harley. Ellen enjoyed tinkering in her house and yard.

Ellen is survived by children, Lisa Moss of Eagle Grove, John (Candy) Moss of Ohio, and twins, Greg (Susan) and Teresa (Shanda Stumpf) Moss of Ankeny, Sheila Hilpiper of Webster City, Theodore (Mary Jo) Grim III of Goldfield; Teressa Fox of Boone; 15 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

Ellen is preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Grim; her parents, Gilbert and Shirley (Clark) Shinn; two brothers and two sisters; and recently a grandson.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
