Daniel Harris

Daniel E. Harris, 63, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Trinity Regional Medical Center. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family. Survivors include his wife of 35 years Donna, son Dustin Harris, daughter Whitney Harris, 3 grandchildren Ruby, Zayne, and Hayden, and his sister Roberta Harris, close friend Reymundo Vasquez. He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth Sr. and Elsie (Kapler) Harris, brothers Kennth Harris Jr. , and Clifford Harris, sisters Violet and Betty Harris. Daniel Edward Harris was born on May 10, 1959, in Yankton, SD. He was raised and educated in Fort Dodge. Dan was a natural mechanic and could fix just about anything. On October 31, 1987, he was united in marriage to Donna Hill and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. They also made loved in Clarion, IA, Houston, TX, and then returned to Fort Dodge in 2011. For many years Dan was able to do what he enjoyed, which was driving Semi Truck. When the kids were younger he loved spending time with them with trips to the lakes for boating, tubing, and jet skiing. Dan took great pride in all he did.
