Caryl Ruth Jones

Caryl R. Jones, 87, of Fort Dodge passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2022, at Friendship Haven. Celebration of Life Saturday, April 29th at 11:00 AM Laufersweiler Funeral Home with visitation 1 hour prior at the funeral home on Saturday. Survivors include her daughter Jaci Keigher and her husband Steve of Fort Dodge, grandson Justin Keigher (Tarin Crouch) of Fort Dodge, granddaughter Jenni Hall of Bondurant, 5 great grandchildren Ella, Avah, Kamdyn, Decklin, and Emma, brother Ted Johnson and his wife Linda of Benton, AR, sisters Arlene Meyer of Melvern, AR, and Jackie Long and her husband Gary of Melvern, AR, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Carroll and Alyce (Hunefeld) Johnson, and her son Dan Jones. Caryl R. Johnson was born on June 30, 1935, in Moorland, IA. She attended schools in Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School. In 1956, Caryl was united in marriage to Jerry Jones and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. For many years the couple built and finished homes. The couple were later divorced. Caryl sold Avon for a number of years and worked at Hy-Vee for 13 years. She was member of Epworth United Methodist Church. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
