Harcourt Blanche C. Nahnsen 77, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Hospital St. Marys Campus, Rochester, Minnesota. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Farnhamville, with Pastor Aaron Zimmerman officiating. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, until service time at the Church. Palmer Funeral Home, Gowrie is in charge of arrangements. Blanche is survived by husband Stanley; daughter Louwanna (John) Garten of Chillicothe, OH; sons, Jason (Stephanie) Metzger of Marengo, OH and Pearl Metzger of Harcourt; grandchildren, Kristopher (Amanda) Haines of Lewis Center, OH, Casey Metzger of Columbus, OH, Travis Metzger of Marengo, OH, Joshua (Catrina) Young of Groveport, OH, Ashley (Matt) Handley of Kingston, OH, John Garten Jr. of Chillicothe, OH, and Cheyanne (Dylan) Gangeware of Chillicothe, OH; 14 great-grandchildren; step-sons, Todd (Michelle) Nahnsen of Enid, OK and Kevin (Stephanie) Nahnsen of Waterloo; brothers, Frank (Donna) Rose of McDermott, OH and Tarrell (Arosy) Rose of Warren, OH; and many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Thelma (Spriggs) Rose; sisters, Chrystal Hoover and Maxine Fields; and brother William Rose. Blanche C. Rose was born September 9, 1944, at West Portsmouth, Ohio. She worked at a bakery for many years before working at a Ohio Packing Company in Columbus. Blanche was united in marriage to Stanley Nahnsen on August 16, 1994. The couple lived in the Harcourt area where she enjoyed her large garden. They also raised many animals and Blanches favorites were the lambs and fainting goats. Blanche also loved to cook and quilt. Blanche could express the most beautiful life experiences in a way one would never forget.
