Anthony F. Vannoni, 67, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Monday October 7, 2013 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held on Friday October, 11th at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery with Full Military Rites conducted by the V.F.W. Post 1856. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Vannoni; sons, Travis Vannoni of Des Moines and Tim (Jodi) Vannoni of Fort Dodge; daughters, Lori (Chris) Deere of Surprise, AZ and Amanda Vannoni of Fort Dodge; 7 grandchildren; brother, Steven Vannoni of Fremont. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Vannoni. Anthony Fred Vannoni was born September 26, 1946, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was raised and educated in Dayton, graduating from Dayton High School in 1964. He then continued his education at Iowa Central Community College and Buena Vista which is where Tony received his B.A. Degree. On August 13, 1966, Tony was united in marriage to Mary Ann McLaughlin at Corpus Christi Church. The couple established their home in Fort Dodge. He served with U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1970. Tony then worked as a lead mechanic from 1970 to 1976 at International Harvester. After he worked there, Tony owned and operated Professional Truck and Auto for 25 years until he retired in 2000. He enjoyed shooting guns, camping, especially trips to South Dakota. Tony was a member of Holy Trinity Parish. Memorials may be left in discretion to the family.
