Funeral services will follow on Tuesday, March 9th at the Miller Funeral Home in Sioux Falls, SD. | | Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Sioux Falls, SD. | | Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 5th in the Chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home | Ellen is survived by her daughters, Susan Flattery (John) of Fort Dodge, Deborah Smith (Dennis) of Robbinsdale, MN; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Sandy Cihak of Fairmont, MN, Pam Smith (Steve) of Cheyenne, WY, Ed Coffin (Pat) of Williams, AZ; sisters, Kathy Evje of Seattle, Mae Perry of New Brighton, MN; and other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2007, her parents, and brothers, Andrew and John.
Ellen was born December 8, 1933 in Humboldt, IA to Mons and Nettie Evje. Ellen married Ronald Schultz in 1951 and divorced in 1957. She married Ralph Coffin in 1970 and they made their home in Minnesota and later retired to Sioux Falls, SD.
She was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church when she lived in Fort Dodge and First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls.
