Walker - 52, of Otho, died Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at her home. | | Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 20th in the Chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Halstead officiating. | | later date | | Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. | Karen is survived by her special friend, Brad Peterson of Otho; her mother, Helen Walker of Johnston; sisters, Janice (Patrick) Coleman of Luverne, MN and Pamela Walker of Johnston; brothers, Charles (Marylou) Walker of Fort Dodge, Robert Walker of Eagle Grove, and David (Jeanette) Walker of Eagle Grove; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Walker, and her grandparents.
Karen A. Walker was born March 4, 1957 in Waterloo, Iowa. In the summer of 1960 her family moved to Eagle Grove, where she attended school. As a child her nickname was “Smiley”. Karen was a talented artist and was exceptional at computer graphic designing. She was always making notepads with cute designs for her family and friends. Karen loved playing with dogs and enjoyed the outdoors.
