(Mike) Sindlinger - 91, of Fort Dodge, died Friday, February 12, 2010 at the Fort Doge Villa Care Center. | | Funeral services will be 10:00 Tuesday in the Chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 at Sacred Heart Church. | | Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. | Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where there will be a vigil at 7:00 p.m.
| Surviving are his sons, William and his wife Marilyn of Dubuque, Michael and his wife Sharon of The Villages, FL; daughter, Roberta Oxley and her husband Robert of Burlington, WI; 12 grandchildren’ 28 great-grandchildren; He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary (Yeager) Sindlinger; his wife, Lenora; 3 brothers and 6 sisters.
Lawrence Harold Sindlinger was born January 6, 1919 in Fort Doge, Iowa where he attended school. Following his education he owned and operated the Dairy Queen in Boone and Charles City for 20 years. Mike also farmed for 5 years, drove a milk truck for 5 years, and worked at USG for 10 years. In 1939 he was united in marriage to Lenora Peed in Dubuque, Iowa.
Mike was a member of Holy Trinity Parish.
