He is survived by his mother and step-father, Chris (Brian Erfman) Friesth of Fort Dodge; sisters, Natasha (Darren) Francis of Fort Dodge, Kimber Spaulding of Carroll, Tara McMahon of Kansas City; brother, Michael McMahon of Omaha; fiancé, Shannon Hanson and her children Gadge and Adelynn of Fort Dodge; niece and nephew, Noah and Sarah Francis of Fort Dodge; aunts, Carolyn (Dave) Milburn-Friesth of Fort Dodge, Cherie Friesth of Fort Dodge, Melissa Erfman of FL, Chris Martin of NE; uncles, Kevin (Jacque) Friesth of Fort Dodge, Tony Hutchinson of Fort Dodge, and Jay Johnson of Duncombe; grandparents, Keith and Doris Friesth of Fort Dodge, Rod Erfman of Springfield, IL, Jill (John) Gronewold of SD; great-grandmother, Helen Friesth of Booneville, Mo; great-aunts and uncles, Merna and Larry Balke of Booneville, MO, Darrel and Janet Friesth, Mildred Carter and Dee Davis all of Fort Dodge, Maureen and Steve Zurba of CA; cousins, Brandie Christensen, Connor Mallinger, Samantha Friesth, Ashley and Lynsey Johnson, Logan Ross, Olivia, Taylor, Elle and many more cousins and relatives. He also leaves behind his dog "Boo".
Casey is also survived by his father, Matt (Lynn) Zabel of Renwick; brothers, Jade and Seth Zabel; sister, Katie Zabel; aunt, Kendra Gansz; uncles, Levi Gansz, Doug "Eugene" (Jeannan) Zabel, Jeff (Jen) Zabel; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerald Zabel of Duncombe and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Gansz of Fort Dodge. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, William and Freada Davis; great- grandfather, Edward Friesth; cousins, Connie Paulson, Scott Friesth, and Nicole Friesth; and great-uncles, Curt Carter and Ronald Davis.
Casey Jade Friesth was born on March 1, 1989 , in Fort Dodge. He attended schools here and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 2007. He was employed with Van Diest Supply Co. of Webster City. Casey was also enrolled to start college this fall at Iowa Central Community College . He enjoyed fishing, swimming, eating, snowboarding, running, boating, art, paintings, and riding his motorcycle. On Saturday nights he would always try to line up friends to watch UFC fight night. Along with his family Casey enjoyed playing World of War Craft online game as the user name cityvent or luckyplaya. Casey always said "Mom no one deserves to be unhappy". He will sadly missed by all who knew him.
