Joseph “Joe” Laufersweiler
Owner / President / Funeral Director
Joseph Laufersweiler, owner and funeral director, graduated from Saint Edmond High School in 1970 and then attended Iowa Central Community College. He then graduated from the University of Minnesota's Mortuary Science Program. After his education he returned to the funeral home working with his father, Welch Laufersweiler.
In 1979, Joe purchased the funeral home from his father, Welch Laufersweiler, and became the fourth generation of Laufersweilers to serve this area.
Joe is on the board of directors for the Marian Home. He also is a member of Daybreak Rotary and Knights of Columbus. Joe has volunteered with Dragon Boats and Operation Christmas for years. Joe loves fishing and snowmobiling. Joe and his wife Carol have a daughter, Sarah.
Joe's nephews, Mark and Luke Laufersweiler, have both graduated from Mortuary School and are active partners in the business.

Mark Laufersweiler
Owner / Funeral Director
Mark Laufersweiler, 5th generation owner and funeral director, is a 1992 graduate of Saint Edmond High School. He attended Iowa Central Community College and is a graduate of Worsham Mortuary School in Chicago, Illinois.
Mark is a member of Young Professionals, The Knights of Columbus Council 613, Holy Trinity Parish, and Noon Sertoma. He is board member of Webster County Crime Stoppers. He also is an avid sports fan, especially the Hawkeyes. Mark's greatest enjoyment is his family; his wife, Susan and their children, JT and Griffin.

Luke Laufersweiler
Owner / Funeral Director
Luke Laufersweiler, 5th generation owner and funeral director, is a 1994 graduate of Saint Edmond High School, a 1998 graduate of Iowa Central Community College and a 1999 graduate of Kansas City Mortuary Science Program.
Luke is a Board Member of Boys Scouts of America, Knights of Columbus Council 613, and Holy Trinity Parish. Luke greatest joy comes from his family; his wife, Abbie; son, Maxx and their three dogs.

Susan Dencklau
Funeral Director
Susan Dencklau, funeral director, is a 2007 graduate of Saint Edmond High School, 2010 graduate of Des Moines Area Community College Mortuary Science Program, and 2011 graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelor's in Liberal Studies.
Susan enjoys volunteering with the Webster County 4-H program and supporting DSAOC in Fort Dodge. She enjoys being active, horseback riding, hunting, wakeboarding, painting, or gardening. She is also planning a wedding for the summer 2013 when her fiancé, Nick McDonald, returns from his deployment.
